Challenge
This Automotive organization expanded its identity footprint across workforce, dealer, field, and operational environments, its access ecosystem became increasingly fragmented. Multiple identity platforms were in use across the business, creating inconsistent authentication experiences, operational complexity, and security controls that were difficult to standardize.
The organization was working to utilize Okta as its central identity platform while deploying Auth0 as part of its workforce identity strategy, but deeply embedded legacy infrastructure slowed progress. Key applications still depended on legacy LDAP protocols, and the internal team had spent months searching for an integration path that would not require a highly customized solution. At the same time, the company was under pressure to move quickly. A prior cybersecurity incident had increased urgency around identity modernization, and a relatively small internal team was being asked to strengthen security, support distributed users, and continue advancing adoption without disrupting the broader business.

Solution
We led the identity transformation with a focused integration strategy designed to solve the organization’s most urgent blocker first. The objective was to help the client move quickly, avoid heavy custom engineering, and create a practical path for modern identity services to work inside a legacy environment:
AIG-Powered LDAP Integration
Introduced the Application Integration Gateway (AIG) as the definitive solution, acting as a scalable LDAP proxy to bridge legacy applications directly into the modern identity environment, rendering highly custom, fragile integration approaches obsolete.
Rapid Architecture Demonstration
Within days, we demonstrated how the architecture would work inside the customer’s environment. By showing a clear and deployable path forward, the team reduced uncertainty, accelerated stakeholder alignment, and helped the client move from review to signed agreement unusually quickly.
Auth0 Deployment and Managed Services
Stabilized identity operations alongside the AIG infrastructure deployment using Auth0 managed services, helping the client support broader adoption and reduce day-to-day pressure on internal IT teams.
SMS Gateway for Additional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Implemented and licensed SMS gateway support to extend Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) coverage for a specific user population, adding flexibility while strengthening verification.
Unified Monitoring Through Identity Command Center (ICC)
To improve visibility across the environment, we provided proactive monitoring for Auth0, Entra ID, and the SMS gateway through ICC. This gave the customer a centralized view of service health and key metrics, reducing manual oversight and making daily monitoring more efficient.
