Food for Life Nepal (FFLN) is an independent, secular social welfare organization dedicated to bringing children back into the classroom by providing consistent school meals to over 7,000 students in Budhanilkantha Municipality and Tokha Municipality, Kathmandu. Their mission to eradicate classroom hunger, ensure food security among marginalized groups, and lead food relief efforts during national emergencies is supported by the organization’s central mega-kitchen at the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.

BeyondID Nepal recently visited FFLN at one of the schools they service in the local area. This is what they said:
“Our visit to the school was an inspiring experience for us. We were amazed by the dedication and compassion of the Food for Life team members, who work tirelessly to provide nutritious meals to underprivileged school children. We were particularly moved by the gratitude and excitement of the children when they received their lunches. It was clear that these meals were not just food to the children, but also a source of hope and opportunity.
We were also impressed by the efficiency and effectiveness of Food for Life’s operations. We were able to see firsthand how the organization is able to provide thousands of meals each day on a very limited budget. Overall, our visit was a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back and helping others. It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about the organization’s work and to support its vision: No child in Nepal shall be deprived of education because of hunger.”
BeyondID For Good
BeyondID’s donation of supplies and funds to Food For Life Nepal totaled $750 (approx. 99237 NPR). These resources will go to support their future goals of:
- Providing 25,000 children with daily school meals by 2030
- Growing their network of volunteers
- Increasing enrollment and improving attendance at local community schools
- Achieving sustainability of the program before 2025
