For the 5th year in a row, Okta was named a leader in Gartner’s 2021 Magic Quadrant™ for Access Management (Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Access Management (November 2021) | Okta). Becoming a Gartner MQ leader is difficult enough but maintaining that position year after year is even more challenging. It’s a remarkable achievement and demonstrates why Okta continues to drive the access management market. Not only did Okta place highest in its ability to execute, but Okta’s acquisition of Auth0 – also listed as a leader – helped Okta score high in innovation, and for good reason. Bringing Auth0 into the Okta family will help with a key component of the access management market: CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management).
But Okta’s ability to execute and their innovation are only part of the story. They scored highest among all vendors for its product capabilities such as Workflows, user interface and self-service, application enablement and ease of deployment. Okta led all vendors in security, resiliency and coverage with automatic failover from cloud to on-premise and 99.9% uptime SLA to customers, significant when considering how critical uptime is in today’s business climate. They also received high marks from Gartner for delivering a great customer experience (ease of use, flexible integration and documentation) and investment in R&D.
Additionally, in August, Okta was recognized by Forrester Research Inc. as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Identity-As-A-Service (IDaaS) for Enterprise, Q2 2021. In the Forrester evaluation, Okta earned the highest scores amongst all vendors evaluated in both the Current Offering and Strategy categories, achieving a 5/5 score in 14 of the 18 evaluation criteria.
This recognition by Gartner and Forrester is testament to what their team has accomplished to-date and the great things they will continue to accomplish. What does this mean for BeyondID?
